Paessler is strengthening its position as a leading global provider of network monitoring solutions, with an expansion into the UK. The company has appointed Gerald Moser as Vice President of Business Development, UK to grow the business and serve customer needs in the region.

Paessler’s commitment to the UK is part of the company’s plans for worldwide expansion. Despite the challenging economic times, Paessler has experienced exceptional growth in the last 12 months with revenue increasing by 48%. The company has also increased its staff globally by 25% to meet a rising demand for its award-winning network monitoring solutions.

Moser joins Paessler with more than 12 years’ experience in business development and marketing communications for international technology and hi-tech businesses such as Fraunhofer and Dolby. Gerald has a track record in introducing and driving take-up of innovative technologies in new markets and has played a vital role in the launch of ground-breaking technologies, including the pioneering MP3 audio format.

In his new role, Moser is tasked with shaping and expanding Paessler’s presence in the UK - one of Europe’s most influential information technology markets. This will see him identifying new market opportunities, establishing strategic reseller and channel partnerships and encouraging adoption of Paessler’s flagship product, PRTG - widely regarded as the leading Network Monitor for functionality, flexibility, innovation and cost-effectiveness.

Prior to joining Paessler, Moser held a number of business development and communications roles with market leading companies including Dolby, Coding Technologies and the Fraunhofer Institute for Integrated Circuits IIS, which pioneered the MP3. For the success of this work, Moser’s team won the Future Prize for Technology and Innovation from the President of Germany. Moser has also co-authored a number of White Papers on introducing new technologies into the diverse markets.

A German national, Moser holds a Masters degree in Communications, psychology and education from the University of Mainz.
